Thalaseemia is a disease of acute anemia where the body is unable to generate required  Hemoglobin. Children suffering from it need a blood transfusion for every 10-15 days. Thalaseemia and Sickle Cell Society is an NGO which works for the treatment of the children affected from Thalaseemia. The institue is located in Hyderabad and it currently takes care of more than 1000 children. It is a non- profitable institute which works on the donations.
